Liebster Award Tag

Liebster Award Tag

A couple days ago I was tagged for a Liebster Award by the lovely Danielle over at Danielle Tweedles. So go check her blog out as well! For those of you who do not know what a Liebster Award is, it’s basically a get to know me tag and gets newer blogs out there. Those of you who I tag, please comment below and link back your post so that I see it, or tag me on Twitter <3

Essentially answer the 11 questions you were tagged, tag 11 new bloggers of your choosing, and then create 11 new questions for them to answer<3

What is one thing you cannot leave the house without? I absolutely cannot leave without my phone, I used to not rely on it so much but now that I’ve gotten more into social media, it’s so hard not to be attached to it. I honestly blame Twitter! Lol.

What is your favorite brand of make up and why? This is such a hard question!, I have so many brands that I don’t have an absolute favorite, but if I have to choose It would be Anastasia Beverly Hills just because my Modern Renaissance palette is by far my favorite.

What do you want to achieve in 2017? I would like for my blog to get more readers and officially have a set schedule, and I would like to travel more often.

Other than blogging, what other hobbies do you have? Honestly, I watch a ton of Netflix haha I pretty much spend my time working and sleeping! I know, I know soo boring but if i said anything else I’d be lying lol

Do you have any strange or unique phobias? I wouldn’t call them strange or unique: I HATE clowns, and spiders.

If you had to describe yourself using only 3 words, what would they be? Honest, Dreamer, Dancer

Given the choice of anyone in the world, who you would you want as a dinner guest and why? Oh god, I have a slight obsession with Marie Antoinette, mainly because I believe she was an extremely misunderstood woman in history and frankly I want to ask her questions about the political climate on the eve of the French Revolution (Can’t you tell I graduated with a Bachelor’s in History?! :P)

Do you have a particular blogging subject that you favor?, either reading or writing? I definitely enjoy reading travel blogs but as far as writing it would be beauty blogging.

What is your favorite piece of clothing you own? Has to be my black blazer with a pinstripe cuff, it by far has been the best purchase I’ve made, just because it dresses up any outfit and I can go from a day outfit to a night one.

Do you have a favorite blogger who you aspire to? I absolutely love the Blonde Abroad, I literally love everything she posts.

Have you got any interesting/amazing stories or facts about yourself that you would like to share? I was born in Panama and I understand Spanish and French pretty well, I grew up with Spanish and can understand it fluently.

Here are the new 11 questions:

  1. What is your blogging goal for your blog?
  2. What made you create your blog?
  3. What is the one thing you can’t leave the house without? (I’m stealing that question)
  4. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  5. What is your favorite book/Movie?
  6. What is your hometown like?
  7. What are your travel plans for the next year?
  8. What is your favorite memory?
  9. Given the choice of anyone in the world, who you would you want as a dinner guest and why? (I’m also using this one again, it’s such an awesome question!)
  10. Would you rather stay in and watch Netflix or Go out and have a night of dancing?
  11. How old are you and what are your goals before your next birthday?

I’ve Tagged (if you’ve already been tagged I apologize)

Exhaustion and finding time..

Once again I’ve let my blog die, unfortunately. This summer has had a lot of bumps in the road and a change of scenery happened. I was hoping to fully dedicate my time to this blog and to school and ultimately focused on school during the semester and moving back home and all that jazz. I have so many ideas, but school got in the way and the amount of papers I had to write was unbelievable. So ultimately the blog got put on the back burner and I come back from time to time in hopes of changing the layout or adding new content but never had the time. Also, saving money to buy a nice travel camera is on the list of priorities that I have, I have a few posts that I can post soon, and hopefully ( fingers crossed) I’ll be able to get my life together somehow.

BIRCHBOX December 2015 unboxing

I’m super excited to be sharing my very first Birchbox!, I’ve been watching Youtube for years and unboxing videos are my favorite. My favorite is KathleenLights, and while she does not do Birchbox Un-boxing’s she has Boxycharm which is another subscription that I want to try. Unfortunately the way my bank account is set up, getting another subscription box is out of the question hehe. I was absolutely giddy when this came in the mail and was so excited to see what goodies were inside.
For those who don’t know what Birchbox is, it is a subscription box that includes five beauty samples that are completely random and based on your customized preferences. It is an awesome way of trying new and sometimes expensive products for only 10$ a month. I was not sure what to expect but I am so glad I subscribed to Birchbox!

The shipping for the box came within the time frame I was given, and was super convenient that I could check the tracking through the Birchbox app. You can also see what is inside the box, which I didn’t do because I wanted it to be a surprise. As a subscriber you can change the preferences of your profile until they send you the tracking number for your box, which is nice because that gives the subscriber the option to always receive a different selection. So shipping and tracking was easy and the box did not take an eternity, thank god. Although it did go from Tennessee —> Atlanta —–> Indiana; Which is very weird since I live about an hour away from where the box originated from. Oh USPS.

I loved the packaging of the box and the lid reminded me of snow! such a pretty box, and I hope I can find some use for it in my apartment. Inside, the box contained the list of products and their respective prices of full size products along with a 10$ off a 35$+ purchase in the Birchbox shop which is nice.

Here’s the box with my goodies inside! I’m glad I received such a mix of products and I’m most excited about the Vasanti skin care product and the Amika dry shampoo. Below, I’ll be giving the description and prices of all the products I received in my Birchbox:

Parlor by Jeff Chastain: Touchable Curl Cream

Full Size Price: 24$
The description on the card states that this product is:
” An Innovative formula combines the silky texture of a serum with the light hold of a cream that won’t weigh hair down”
I have naturally long wavy hair, so I am excited that Birchbox picked this out for me and I’m wondering how it will work with my hair since while, my hair is wavy it gets oily just as my skin does. The sample that was included was not a deluxe sample, but a regular sized sample. Thankfully it only says to use a nickel-to quarter sized amount and smells absolutely amazing so thankfully I can get a few uses out of it to see if I like it enough to purchase the full size! It is a sulfate, cruelty, paraben and gluten free product as well which is awesome.
This product is a Birchbox exclusive also, meaning you can only buy it in the shop on

Eyeko London: FAT Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Full Size price: 16$

I am really glad I received a new liquid liner, because I have finally learned to do wing liner and need more options for liquid liner. Even though I love that it is a liquid liner, I don’t know if I will like how thick the felt tip applicator is, while I didn’t take a photo of the applicator part, it literally looks like a sharpie marker, which kind of terrifies me cause it is a true black liner.

Amika: Perk up dry shampoo

Full Size Price: 22$
I am so happy I got this! I currently have a mini Drybar dry shampoo and It’s almost gone and by far it is my favorite, it leaves no residue and doesn’t make my hair overly oily. So I’m hoping that this Amika one will do the same since it smells amazing. It is their Sea Buckthorn Berry and smells as if you just left a salon. Being that its for all hair types, I’m really hoping that it does just that and genuinely works on all hair types since my hair is pretty difficult.

Vasanti: BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

Full Size Price: 34$
I am extremely excited to use this product, one because the price of the full price product. Typically when a skin care product is more on the expensive side, the better they work. not all the time. I have oily skin, but my skin lately above my cheekbones has become dry so I am excited  to try this exfoliating cleanser.

Coastal Scents: Style eyes

Full Size Price: 12$
I got two sample sizes from the Coastal Scents : style eyes palette and I must say these are so creamy and pigmented! And since the full size product is only 12$ I honestly might buy the entire palette on the Birchbox shop.

The fact that the products I have received are worth more than my box itself, makes me so happy. It was the main reason why I did not join Ipsy because I have seen so many people dissapointed and it is the same price as Birchbox. For this being my first box, I am extremely happy.

Back again!

I am terribly awful at keeping up with my blog 🙁 it has been five months and no new content. ugh.
I have a ton of new things coming up that are currently in drafts! I promise. I’m also going to be posting a couple of Youtube videos of my Birchbox unboxing and some of my holiday shopping! (New goodies that were limited edition). Hopefully, I will take on this new year full swing, and be able to keep up with posting and taking pictures and whatnot!

New Blog, New Year

Hey everyone!
I’ve had tried many times to keep up with a blog and have miserably failed at it time and time again for various reasons; whether it being because of school, work, of just out of plain laziness. so this time is a new year year and I’ll actually be taking the time to keep up with daily posts and even today there will be two posts in one day Due to me “taking the leap” on finally dying my hair blonde for my ombre. Which is super exciting.
